OBX Summer Youth Sailing Program 2026 — Now Enrolling
Registration is open for our 2026 Summer Youth Sailing Program, three weeks of hands-on sailing on Currituck Sound for ages 8–18. SSCA members get priority enrollment.
We are excited to announce that registration is now open for the OBX Summer Youth Sailing Program 2026, presented by Hatteras Community Sailing in partnership with the Southern Shores Civic Association (SSCA).
The program runs three weeks in July at Southern Shores North Marina on Currituck Sound:
- Week 1: July 6–10 — Foundation / Beginner
- Week 2: July 13–17 — Beginner to Intermediate
- Week 3: July 21–25 — All Levels + Regatta
Youth sailors ages 8–12 will sail Optimist dinghies, while teens ages 13–18 will crew on 420s. All sessions are coached by US Sailing Certified instructors.
SSCA members receive priority enrollment and a discounted rate of $495 per session. Non-members are welcome and placed on a rolling waitlist as spots open.
